Our Connected Journey
At Maialis Design, we believe that sustainability is a journey that requires long-term commitment and humility. A journey made possible by involving everyone. A journey that requires us all to question everything we do and how we do it, to constantly improve and move forward.
Responsible Sourcing
Most of the raw materials used to produce and preserve our
products come from nature, whether derived from animal, plant or mineral sources. Since not all of these raw materials are renewable, we depend on supply chains that have a regenerative impact on biodiversity. Therefore, our priorities are to protect resources and the climate, respect animal welfare, prevent deforestation, eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals and reduce air and water pollution.
Sustainable Raw Materials
By 2024, more than 60% of the materials we source will meet
our responsible sourcing standards, meaning they are certified or recycled
according to the strictest environmental standards.
We aim to source all of our leather from suppliers who are
Leather Working Group (LWG) certified. We work with our suppliers to
continually improve and comply with our responsible sourcing standards.
Responsible Packaging
Our shopping bags and boxes are made from 100% recyclable,
50% recycled fibers. Our boxes are collapsible to reduce their volume during transport to our stores, reducing CO2 emissions from transportation.
